LAW OFFICE OF MEGAN ARNOLD
I am a lawyer passionate about helping people injured through no fault of their own.
about me
I was born and raised in San Diego, California. After graduating from La Jolla Country Day, I moved to North Carolina to attend High Point University with a plan to become a teacher. I graduated in 2017 with my B.A. in Special Education with a focus on students with mild to moderate disabilities.
But teaching wasn't my calling. I wanted to use my skills to help people in a different way. My dad, a plaintiff's lawyer who has represented injured people for over 40 years, suggested I come work for him as a law clerk and go to night law school.
I spent the next four years working with my dad during the day while attending law school at night. This gave me the opportunity to work with clients from intake to litigation and learn the practical matters of injury and insurance law. After taking the California bar, I continued to work with my dad as a lawyer.
After my first year practicing as a lawyer, I attended and graduated from a three-week program called the Gerry Spence Method on a ranch in Dubois, Wyoming. While there I learned powerful tools for persuasive advocacy that I now use to help my clients tell their stories in a way that will resonate with juries and judges. After returning from the program, I found myself wanting to take more cases to trial and to be brought onto cases going into trial at the last minute. I am happy to still work with my dad on some matters, but I went out on my own to have more freedom with trial work and the cases I handle.
While at High Point University, I had the privilege of delving into Special Education law throughout my courses. This experience, along with graduating from the Special Education Law Advocacy program at the University of San Diego, has given me the knowledge to assist families and children that receive Special Education services.
I am a member of Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, Consumer Attorneys of California, American Association of Justice, National Crime Victim Bar Association, and the San Diego County Bar Association. In my free time, I enjoy spending time at the beach, practicing yoga, reading, and performing improv. I am also an active member of the Junior League and enjoy volunteering with different organizations in our community.
HOW I WORK
I'm selective about the cases I take because I want to make sure I can give each of my clients the time and attention they deserve. This means I don't take every case that walks in the door.
If I represent you, you'll have my full attention. I'll keep you updated on your case regularly and I'm always available to answer your questions. I understand that life is hectic, so I'm happy to schedule meetings and calls outside of traditional business hours.
You're my only priority when we're working together and I'm here to take care of you and get you the justice you deserve. I'll answer all of your questions, keep you updated on your case, and make sure you're comfortable with every decision we make.
I'm a passionate advocate for my clients. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated fairly, and I will fight for your rights until the very end.
I've worked on a wide range of cases, from car crashes involving traumatic brain injuries to trip and falls requiring surgeries to cases involving sexual assault at a school or as a result of negligent security or hiring. I also handle cases involving assault, injuries, and deaths that occur at sea; such as on cruise ships or private yachts. I know the law inside and out, and I'm not afraid to take on the big insurance companies. But most importantly, I care about my clients. I understand that you're going through a difficult time, and I'm here to help you every step of the way.
FEES
Call me for a free consultation. Most personal injury cases are taken on a contingency fee basis, meaning you only pay me if I win your case. I also advance costs and expenses on most cases.
On some major or complex cases, I may associate with or work with other firms. When I do this, I typically share the attorney fees with the other lawyers, but the fee you pay does not increase.
